Staff at the agencies are under stress following Budget 2009. They have worked hard at their jobs with commitment and creativity. They have taken on work beyond the call of duty so that they can fulfil the mandates of their organisations.
They fear that what is happening is a reaction to the good work they have done.
They face family and financial difficulties. Many of the staff required to decentralise have families in Dublin that cannot move. Commuting to Roscrea everyday will place significant constraints on family life.
It is ironic that those who have supported the rights and equalities of families now find themselves unsupported.
On behalf of families everywhere, we are asking politicians to wake up to the attack on equality and human rights in Budget 2009.
